Digital Painting

The painting was created from a photo reference of the model, foreground and background created out of my imagination. It was one of my first from a new set of charcoal brushes built for the Procreate app. 

The set comes with a variety of papers that lend themselves for building out highlights in white charcoal. The painting was created in 8 hours 34 minutes and here is a summary video.

This is the first of several works done using this technique. I enjoyed working on this painting and intend to continue in this vain on my digital pieces. I will likely make this a short edition giclee print. One artist edition and 20 prints to fit 17” x 22”.
